Our pick for favorite beaches starts on Oahu with Waikiki. Waikiki beach is the heart of all Hawaii beach tourism. Waikiki is probably the world's most famous beach, and there is plenty of people on it because almost all of Oahu's hotels are just a few blocks away. North Shore beaches Pipeline, Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay are favorite surfing beaches. Lanikai is also a top swimming beach with golden sand. Hanauma Bay is a great snorkeling beach.
    On Maui our favorite beaches are: Kaanapali Beach located in front of the Kaanapali Resort area and is a great watersports beach. Wailea Beach is a great family beach. Palauea Beach, also a great family beach and swimming, snorkel, scuba beach. Kapalua Beach Park has a great view of Molokai and its bay is well protected making it also a great family beach.
    On Kauai our favorite beaches are: Poipu Beach Park is a very popular beach with protected shallow water. Hanalei Bay is a white sand beach with a mountainous backdrop, making it a most scenic beach. Kee Beach is probably the best snorkeling beach on Kauai.
    The coolest thing about beaches on The Big Island are the different colors of sand. Honokohau Beach is an example of a White Sand Beach. Punaluu and Kamoamoa Beach are an example of Black Sand Beaches. Puu Mahana Beach is an example of a Green Sand Beach.
